Exploring Residential Options for Adults with Developmental Disabilities| Event

On Tuesday, March 12th from 6:30-8:00 join a virtual zoom presentation on Exploring Residential Options for Adults With Developmental Disabilities hosted by Milestones Autism Resources and co-facilitated by Dr. Katie Davis. and Bradley Wyner from Milestones. The panel presentation will feature a parent, an independent provider, as well as representatives from the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities.


In addition to her work as Professor of Special Education at Lake Erie College, Dr. Katie Davis serves as a Parent Mentor through Milestones Autism Resources. Milestones is honored to have been chosen as a grantee by The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities to help create the Ohio Family Network (OFN). Milestones is focusing this work in Cuyahoga, Lake and Ashtabula Counties, supporting families and individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities to become leaders and facilitators of OFN services in their local communities. Local parent advocates have been identified to build networks and leadership capacity for families. Dr. Davis has served as the Lake County advocate since 2020. Prior to this, Dr. Davis had been doing similar work via the Lake County Autism Support Group that she continues to run in conjunction with Heroes Helping Those with Special Needs.
